  • Video Jam of the Day: The Like – He's Not a Boy

Do you remember the Like? The L.A. girl group who had famous dads, released a decent semi-punkish pop record in 2005, and then pretty much vanished? They’ve come back and now they are pretty awesome. Trading in super slick production for a peppy Mark Ronson sound, adding some vintage organ, ditching their flowered dresses in favor of some seriously Mod threads, and performing a lineup shuffle have done wonders for the group. Better yet, the songs on their new record, Release Me, are hooky and punchy in a very ’60s way, and singer Z Berg has added a pleasing amount of bite and sass to her vocals that was missing before. Check out the stylish video for “He’s Not a Boy” and you’ll see what I’m talking about.
