DJ/pop singer Princess Superstar is offering various prizes for fans who donate to the recording of her next album. Fans can choose from a variety of price-tiered options, including everything from a signed CD and album credit, to a home-cooked vegan meal, and even a private burlesque strip tease from Princess Superstar herself. Princess Superstar’s album, The New Evolution, is tentatively planned for release in February 2011. [Billboard.com]Former Smiths-guitarist Johnny Marr is releasing a single to help raise funds for the London-based homeless charity organization Centrepoint. The single, a cover of Rabbit Mackay’s 1969 track “Tendency To Be Free,” will also be included on the accompanying charity album 1969 Key To Change, which will be available to download from Fairsharemusic.com on October 4th. Pop queens Katy Perry and Lady Gaga both nabbed five MTV Europe Music Awards nominations this week. The singers will vie for honors in such categories as Best Pop Act, Best Song, Best Female Act, and Best Video. Perry, who hosted last year’s Europe Awards show, is also up for Best World Stage performance, while Gaga rounds out her five noms with Best Live Act.
