  • Twitter and Phish Summer Tour II

    Heya gang. As you know, summer tour starts up in a few hours. We will be providing as much coverage as humanly possible, which includes tweets, Wook Patrol podcasts, pics, videos, and recaps.

    Sometimes we encounter obstacles on the road that makes it difficult to share what we experienced. This is usually due to lack of time due to traveling, too spun out (i.e. having too much phun), and a shitty internet connection in out custy hotel du jour. Due to the nature of the beast, and that beast being summer tour, we have no idea what exactly we'll be providing at any given day which is why you need to be patient, follow us on Twitter, and check back in with Coventry Music Blog on a regular basis over the next two weeks for a plethora of coverage.

    So if you don't follow us on Twitter, then get with the program. We'll be tweeting/twit pic'ing from the road/shows using the main account, along with our individual accounts. We advise you to follow them all for a complete experience. Oh, and we tweet a lot. You've been warned!
    @CoventryMusic = Coventry Music Blog
    @taopauly = Dr. Pauly
    @neillybop = The Joker
    @Change100 = Change100
    @WheresWildo = Wildo
    @Jonas0tt0 - Jonas
    And friends of Coventry on the road with us...
    @BenjoDiMeo
    @DJOcean
    @Iggylicious
    @777GMoney
    @FishMarketStew
    @SnailTrax
    If you're big into Twitter lists, then you can also follow one our Twitter list that we dubbed Coventry Crew. That lists also includes parts of our crew who won't be at these shows (e.g. BTreotch, Broseph, DiscoSisters, IronGirl, the Goat, and Strawberry Shortcake).

    For setlist tweets, check out @Phish_FTR.

    If you see us at the shows, in the lots, or on the road... definitely stop by to say hello. After all, we're coming to your town, to help ya party down.

    That's it for now. Drive safe. Party smart. Enjoy your summer tour.

  • Wook Patrol Podcast: Horning's Stuffed Animal Brigade

    The Joker recorded one final podcast from Horning's Hideout for the Cheese festival in Oregon.
    Episode 14: Horning's Stuffed Animal Brigade with Roz & Alie (2:51) - The Joker interviewed Roz and Alie about their late night encounters at Horning's including a stolen golf cart, a drive-by raffle of a gangsta monkey, and an unresponsive fuzzy animal that they found.

    Thanks for listening to Coventry's podcast The Wook Patrol. To listen to older episodes from Horning's and Phish summer tour, then visit the Wook Patrol archives.

    We'll definitely be back with new Phishy episodes from Berkeley and Telluride. Stay tuned!

    And thanks to Dan from Pokerati.com for FTP hosting.

  • Disco Ball Helmet For Your Extra

    Everyone is looking for extra tickets to The Greek and Telluride shows, I know. I am fortunate enough to have tickets, but some of my best friends do not. A big part of going to Phish shows is going with my friends, so it is VERY important that I find some extra tickets for them. I am offering a disco ball helmet for any night to the Greek or Telluride. I have a men's and women's models with me on tour, or I could make you a brand new one. This is a serious offer. If you have any extras, lets work out a deal! Disco ball helmet + cash for multiple nights or tickets will work too! email: wookpatrol [at] gmail.com.

  • String Cheese Incident Horning's Hideout Sunday / Day 4 Recap

    Im writing from Cannon Beach, Oregon where Im trying to catch up a little bit on my sleep. The Sunday Horning's Cheese show was a hot one. Here is the set list:

    String Cheese Incident
    08/01/10 Horning's Hideout

    Set I:
    Lester had a Coconut1, Rollin' In My Sweet Baby's Arms1, Walls of Time1, Think Of What You've Done1, Six Days on the Road1, Orange Blossom Special1, Fixin' To Die2, Betray the Dark, Yo Se, Lost, Will it Go 'Round in Circles, Looking Glass, San Jose

    Set II:
    Shantytown> Gypsy Queen, Howard, Emma's Dream> Don't Say> It Is What It Is> Eyes of the World3, Outside Inside3
    Encore: Best Feeling, Good Times Around the Bend4

    1 with The Travelin' McCourys
    2 with The Travelin' McCourys and Col. Bruce Hampton
    3 with Scott Law on guitar
    4 2nd Encore

    The first set was heavy on the bluegrass and had the crowd dancing as hard as they have the whole weekend. The second set Sunday was my favorite set of the weekend. The Howard was incredible and worked the crowd into a frenzy. Eyes of the World with Scott Law on lead guitar was an absolutely beautiful tribute to Jerry Garcia on his birthday and a few in the crowd got emotional. Cheese brought back the lasers and the alien spaceship made another appearance at the end. A fantastic show.

    After the show there was not much of a campsite scene, as it seemed most of Horning's was worn out from the weekend. Our crew had brought out a Unicorn pinata that we broke open in front of a crowd of 50 in our camp site after the show. It was quite the funny scene to see each of us take a swing at a unicorn after being blind folded and spun around. Eventually we broke open the pinata and I wore the head on my helmet.

    The Horning's experience was awesome. Carrie and I are heading down the Oregon and California coast the next two days- next stop THE GREEK.
